The meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Trade under the Permanent Committee of the Union State was held today at the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
The event was attended by Alexander Yaroshenko, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State.
FOR REFERENCE: The Working Group was established by order of the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State on December 4, 2025, in order to develop coordinated approaches to trade regulation and address problematic issues in this area.

At the meeting, participants discussed issues related to consumer price regulation and e-commerce, approaches to promoting national goods on the domestic market, holding the "Retail Days in Minsk" forum, and more.

In her opening remarks, Alesya Abramenko noted that significant work has been done in recent years to harmonize Belarusian and Russian trade legislation. She also emphasized the importance of discussing draft regulatory legal acts of Belarus and Russia within the working group to assess risks and potential negative impacts and develop measures to mitigate such effects. It was also noted that it is important to develop joint strategic measures to protect the Union State's domestic market.
It is proposed that such measures be included in the draft Guidelines for the Implementation of the Provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State for 2027-2029.
