Historical reconstruction, sports location and a large disco in the very center of the capital - what events will take place in the capital as part of the City Day were told by the deputy head of the culture department of the Minsk City Executive Committee Svetlana Silich, a Soyuz.by correspondent reports.

Thus, the festive program of the City Day will open on September 13 at 10:00 with a ceremonial event at the obelisk "Minsk - Hero City". "There will be a laying of a wreath at the monument. The city leadership, members of foreign delegations, and activists of public associations will take part in it. Then, a large-scale event, the international competition "The Strongest Firefighter and Rescuer", will take place at the site near Victory Park, - the speaker shared.

In addition, along Pobediteley Avenue from the monument "Minsk - Hero City" to the Sports Palace, a green area "Minsk Starazhytny" will be developed, where historical reconstruction clubs will gather. At the same time, the speaker added that this year 500 participants from three countries - Belarus, Russia and China - have been declared.

"The site near the Sports Palace will be divided into several stages. The first is the sports festival "Olympic Day", which will be held jointly with the Olympic Committee. The event will last until 17:00," said Svetlana Silich.

According to her, this year they decided to make the evening time in an unconventional format. "This will be a youth program, within the framework of which stars will perform, there will be dancing and fun. And at 23:00 we will mark everything with a bright festive fireworks. After which DJs will work until 00:00," the speaker added.
