A cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Information of Belarus and the Belarusian Orthodox Church during the scientific and educational expedition "Road to the Holy Places".

"This is a necessary agreement in modern realities," emphasized the Minister of Information Marat Markov. - In Belarus, we publish a huge number of books, and this is good. But an even greater number of books come to Belarus from abroad, and they often do not correspond to our values or even contain direct propaganda of those values that we should not have. In this direction, we have always worked together with the Union of Writers of Belarus, that is, we monitored the space. And in this agreement, we have prescribed a norm that we will also work in this direction together with the Belarusian Orthodox Church," the head of the department emphasized.

According to Marat Markov, information is a value that must be disseminated correctly and in large quantities.

"The Belarusian Orthodox Church does a lot for spiritual education, including young people. We see very well what happens when these values are lost. This immediately leads to war, death, the collapse of the country. Therefore, it is very important for us to show how the Belarusian Orthodox Church works, what ideas and values it promotes," the minister noted.
