Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended birthday greetings to Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“The Orthodox Church on Belarusian lands has a rich history. Today, fruitful cooperation between state bodies and church institutions contributes to strengthening the foundations of society and its spiritual development,” the message of greetings reads. “Your tireless, selfless pastoral service helps to consolidate Orthodox culture on our land and to awaken love, goodness and mercy in people’s hearts.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Metropolitan Veniamin health, peace and God’s blessing for many years: “May success continue to accompany you in your responsible service in the name of Christian values and the prosperity of the Belarusian people.”
