Belarusian parliament speaker meets with healthcare workers

Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova held a working meeting with medical workers on 26 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of the Belarusian parliament.

It was a regular videoconference to discuss ways to counter the spread of coronavirus infection and brought together representatives of the Healthcare Ministry and healthcare institutions of Minsk.

Characterizing the current epidemiological situation, the experts noted a slight uptake in the incidence of acute respiratory diseases and COVID-19. The parties analyzed the measures taken and in the pipeline to treat and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Special attention was paid to the issues of rapid tests at home and the tactics of treatment of asymptomatic patients.

In general, the situation is manageable and is under control, the experts said.
