About 100,000 express test kits for detecting COVID-19 antibodies will be delivered to Belarus soon, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Healthcare Minister Yelena Bogdan.

The official said: “Taking into account peculiarities of the epidemic – as many as 80-87% of the people infected with COVID-19 show no symptoms or mild symptoms – we've set out to detect as many cases as possible. As of this week we've started introducing text kits able to detect immunoglobulins and evaluate the post-infection immune function. We expect to receive about 100,000 immunoglobulin test kits soon.”

Yelena Bogdan noted that the larger number of tests will lead to the larger number of registered COVID-19 cases. People, who have already recovered from the illness, will be detected as well. Respectively all of them will be added to the overall statistics.
