According to Counselor of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia Aleksandr Shpakovsky, in addition to purely economic objectives, the trip of the Belarusian ambassador also has an obvious political agenda. “In light of the abhorrent attempts of the terrorists of the Kiev regime to destabilize the situation in the region and complicate the lives of civilians in the run-up to the Russian presidential election, Belarusian diplomats demonstrate solidarity with our allies,” Aleksandr Shpakovsky emphasized.
According to the press service, during his working trip Dmitry Krutoi is set to hold meetings with the leadership of Oryol Oblast and Kursk Oblast and visit a number of enterprises interested in developing cooperation with Belarusian companies.
On 14 March, the ambassador toured two enterprises in Oryol. Oryolmaslo is one of the leaders in the processing of rapeseed and sunflower in the Central Federal District. The company supplies its products to Belarus.
“Cooperation with our enterprises was discussed with the management of the company keeping in mind the common goals of achieving technological sovereignty, especially in food security,” the press service said. The embassy added that the Oryol enterprise is interested in buying seed trucks from Minsk Automobile Plant.
The second enterprise visited by the ambassador was Oryol Proton. It is Russia’s leading manufacturer of optoelectronic equipment and it maintains close contacts with the Belarusian companies Integral and Planar. Previously, the Oryol plant also collaborated with Horizont: the ambassador promised to help restore production chains. The promising production program includes the purchase of equipment from other Belarusian manufacturers, both private and public ones. The Oryol company supplies its products to Belaruskali, Minskvodokanal and other enterprises in various industries of Belarus.
