Belarus is ready to cooperate with the Republic of Adygea of Russia across the board, Chairman of Belgospischeprom Concern Oleg Zhidkov said as he met with the delegation of the Republic of Adygea led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mahmoud Tlekhas, BELTA has learned.

“Belarus and the Republic of Adygea maintain good relations that are gaining momentum. Economy is at the core of this cooperation, and everything is in place to expand economic contacts. The steps we are taking are bringing positive results, which is proved by statistics,” said Oleg Zhidkov.

According to him, the parties worked hard to implement the action plan of the cooperation agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Adygea in trade, economy, science, technology and social and cultural matters for 2021-2023. “Our joint work over these three years resulted in an increase in trade by almost 84%. Belarus’ export grew by 83% to slightly exceed $43 million. I am sure that we have the potential to do even better. I believe that it is necessary to put more effort into developing the joint action plan for the next three years (2024-2026) in order to multiply our trade,” the chairman of the concern emphasized.

Belarus is ready to cooperate with the Republic of Adygea across all industries that are of interest to both parties. “You are set to hold a great number of meetings during your visit, which shows your interest and readiness to interact. Your delegation also includes representatives of science and education, which is going to be very helpful in establishing contacts between our educational institutions. I am confident that the agreements reached during your visit will be highly beneficial for Russian and Belarusian economy,” noted the head of Belgospischeprom.

Oleg Zhidkov hopes that such meetings will become regular. “This will help us resolve technical issues and intensify cooperation,” the chairman of the concern remarked. He also invited the head of the Republic of Adygea to visit Belarus.

The delegation of the Republic of Adygea of the Russian Federation, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mahmoud Tlekhas, is on a visit to Belarus. The delegation is set to hold a series of meetings and negotiations to identify promising areas of cooperation in education, industry, agriculture and other fields.
