Delegation from Russia's Omsk to pay visit to Minsk

A delegation from Russia's Omsk led by First Vice Mayor, director of the utilities department of the city administration Yevgeny Fomin is set to pay a visit to Minsk on 9-10 November, BelTA learned from the Minsk City Hall press service.

The Russian delegation is expected to visit OAO Amkodor - the managing company of the holding company Amkodor, Elema, Minskzelenstroi, and Gorremavtodor of Minsk City Hall. Representatives of Omsk will also get familiar with the activities of the Minsk utilities service and Spetskommunavtotrans.

In September 2023 Minsk and Omsk signed an agreement on the establishment of twinning relations and cooperation between the cities. In 2022, trade between Minsk and Omsk Oblast amounted to $36.6 million. In January-July 2023, mutual trade in goods of the two regions reached $18.4 million (up 125.8%).

Previously, relations between Minsk and Omsk were based on the agreement on cooperation and partnership signed on 13 March 2013.
