A bus route might link Belarus and Russia's Karelia in 2024, BelTA informs citing the website of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia.

This topic was raised at a meeting of the export council. The initiative was put forward by the Tourholding Rodina Karelia company. The idea provides for creating a bus route that will connect Karelia's Petrozavodsk with the capital of Belarus.

“The first buses can set out from Karelia to Belarus as early as 2024,” the post reads.
