Roman Golovchenko said: “Agriculture is a promising point of growth. Food shipments proceed smoothly. Despite the not entirely agrarian specialization of Chelyabinsk Oblast, its processing industry is quite well-developed. This is why I'd like to ask you to carefully analyze Belarusian offers in this sphere from shipments of equipment to comprehensive solutions in the area of construction of various agricultural facilities. Those are vegetable storage facilities, dairy farms, and grain drying complexes. All these goods are made either in Belarus or within the framework of manufacturing cooperation with Russian enterprises. We should take a closer look at the matter. We are ready to host a Chelyabinsk Oblast delegation in order to demonstrate what we offer.”
The prime minister also mentioned an important upcoming joint project in the area of civil engineering. No details are available so far. The sides have to reconcile their views in order to make the final decision on realizing the project.
A Belarus-Chelyabinsk business forum will take place today. “The private sector comes up with solutions fast and moves to sign agreements. Our task is to enable the necessary conditions for the operation of business structures, to determine spheres, and formulate tasks. I have high hopes for the forum. I expect it will produce concrete results instead of being a pro forma event,” the prime minister stressed.
A Belarusian government delegation led by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is on a working trip to Russian regions these days. The Belarusian head of government visited the Russian city of Ufa on 10-11 October. Today he is in Chelyabinsk.
