Belarus, Russia's Kursk Oblast sign memorandum on cooperation in digitalization

The Center for Digital Development of the Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Kursk Oblast of Russia signed a memorandum of cooperation in digitalization at the international ICT forum TIBO 2023, BelTA has learned.

The documents were signed by Director of the Center for Digital Development Igor Mikhailovsky and Minister of Digital Development and Communications of Kursk Oblast Sergei Kozhevnikov. The parties confirmed their willingness to cooperate in the digital transformation of key sectors of the economy, social sector and public administration, development of the information society and scientific applied research.

“This is not the first stage of our cooperation with the Communications and Informatization Ministry in the digital sector. Earlier, our specialists studied the Belarusian experience in implementation of smart cities. Last year, the Belarusian delegation took part in the Kursk Korenskaya fair where we presented the Smart Kurchatov project to our counterparts. The TIBO forum promotes development of cooperation, establishment of new ties, and enables to get familiar with new high-tech developments,” Sergei Kozhevnikov said.
