Belarus, Russia's Arkhangelsk Oblast to advance cooperation

Belarus and Russia's Arkhangelsk Oblast signed an action plan for 2023-2026 to implement the agreement on cooperation in trade, economy, science, technology and humanitarian matters, BelTA has learned.

The document was signed by Deputy Chairman of the Bellesbumprom concern Aleksandr Pshenny and Arkhangelsk Oblast Governor Alexander Tsybulsky. The action plan was signed during the meeting of Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko with heads of local governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on the sidelines of the 10th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Ufa.
"The document regulates a wide range of areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. Among them are the manufacturing sector, construction, housing and utility services, fuel and energy complex, agriculture, environmental protection, culture, education and science, sports and tourism," the press service noted.
In Q1 2023, Belarus' trade with Arkhangelsk Oblast surged by 67%.
