Belarus is ready to cooperate with Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast in shipments of electrobuses. Deputy Director General of OAO BMK Holding Oleg Bytsko made the statement at a session of the working group of the Belarusian Industry Ministry and the government of Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast, BelTA has learned.

Oleg Bytsko said: “We are now executing four major contracts to supply trolleybuses with autonomous mode to St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, to Krasnodar including without autonomous mode as well as tram cars to Nizhny Novgorod. If Yekaterinburg shows interest in introducing electrobuses, we are ready to offer our terms and services. We make trolleybuses with various configurations including overnight charging and express charging. We have huge experience of operation of such electrobuses, this is why we will be able to implement such projects in Sverdlovsk Oblast.”

The situation is slightly worse as far as trams are concerned, because Sverdlovsk Oblast already has its own manufacturer of tram cars. “We don't see prospects of cooperation for now,” the executive concluded.
