Ryzhenkov, Lavrov discuss situation in Iran and Venezuela, upcoming meetings

Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on 13 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the conversation, the parties touched upon current issues of bilateral relations, as well as the schedule of upcoming meetings and events at the high and highest levels.

They also addressed the situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The heads of the foreign ministries emphasized the inadmissibility of foreign interference in the internal affairs of other states and expressed hope for a prompt stabilization of the situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
