CIS Economic Council to meet in Dushanbe on 5 September

As the current chair of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Tajikistan will host the meeting of the CIS Economic Council in its capital, Dushanbe, on 5 September, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting will be chaired by Tajikistan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Hokim Kholiqzoda. The council includes deputy heads of government responsible for economic matters.
The draft agenda includes 27 items. Among them are the Digitalization Strategy for the CIS Major Multimodal Transport Corridors, the CIS Strategy for a Digital Economy and Information Society 2035, the CIS Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development for 2026-2035, and the CIS Plan for the 2026 Year of Healthcare.
These and other documents will be subsequently submitted for approval to the CIS Heads of Government Council.
