The decision to prepare for the coin issue was made by the resolution of the Board of the National Bank No. 32 dated February 7, 2025.
"The new Slavyanka coin with a face value of Br100 will be made of gold weighing 15.55 g (half a troy ounce), with an alloy breakdown of 999.9 and a circulation of 3 thousand pieces," the National Bank said.
In the design of the coin, it is planned to preserve the artistic image of a young Slavic woman with a small child in her arms surrounded by two birds of paradise, as well as the inscription "Slavyanka" by analogy with the gold and silver investment coins already issued by the National Bank.
The bank noted that the new Slavyanka coin will add to a number of bullion (investment) coins already issued by the National Bank and expand opportunities for investing in precious metals.
"Currently in circulation are the Slavyanka gold investment coin with a face value of Br50, weighing 7.78 g (a quarter of a troy ounce) of alloy breakdown 999.9 and the Slavyanka silver investment coin with a face value of Br20, weighing 31.10 g (one troy ounce), alloy breakdown 999.9, which are in high demand," the National Bank said.
