Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov and Governor of Russia’s Orel Oblast Andrei Klychkov have discussed the establishment of a multi-brand center of Belarusian machinery in the Russian region, BelTA has learned.

According to Governor of Russia’s Orel Oblast Andrei Klychkov, the key goal of the delegation's three-day visit to Belarus is to strengthen economic ties and friendly relations. “Yesterday at the meeting with the president of Belarus we discussed the issue of setting up a multi-brand center of Belarusian machinery, including products of Gomselmash, in Orel oblast. Now we are discussing this initiative. The region should prepare a land plot and legal grounds, and the company's management should locate the facilities to represent a variety of products. We need high-quality professional equipment,” he said.

The delegation of Russia’s Orel Oblast headed by Governor Andrei Klychkov got familiar with the line of Gomselmash branded agricultural machinery, visited the mechanical assembly workshop featuring an exposition of import-substituting products, and also the main production line. The Russian delegation comprised heads of the largest agricultural enterprises of the region.

Andrei Klychkov praised the high level of machinery production localization within the Union State. “95-96% is a very good indicator. We are maximally interested in cooperation,” he emphasized.

Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov also outlined the readiness for further cooperation in new areas. “We have been friends and cooperating with Orel Oblast for quite a long time. In recent years our cooperation has received a new vector. In 2024, the Russian region will purchase 20 units of our most highly productive machinery with a capacity of 530hp. For our part, we are ready to offer maintenance services to farmers so that our equipment does not let them down,” he stressed.

Gomselmash Holding Company is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery and is one of the world’s leading producers of combine harvesters and other complex agricultural equipment. The company manufactures a wide range of grain and forage harvesters, cob harvesters and potato harvesters, mowers and other agricultural machinery.
