New historical maximum: Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves increased to $13.9 billion

According to preliminary data, Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves amounted to $13.9 billion as of December 1, 2025. Such data has been published on the website of the National Bank, BelTA has learned.

In November 2025, gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $177.2 million (1.3%).

Foreign currency assets and monetary gold account for the largest share in the structure of Belarus' international reserve assets. According to the National Bank, the volume of foreign currency in reserves as of December 1 amounted to $5.2438 billion, having decreased by $125.9 million in November, and the volume of monetary gold - $7.2574 billion, having increased by $314.8 million.

According to the monetary policy targets, the volume of Belarus' international reserve assets by the end of 2025 should be at least $7.1 billion.
