Mezentsev and Nabiullina discussed the prospects of development of the financial market of the Union State

The portal of the Standing Committee of the Union State reports that Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina met with State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev.

The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of interaction between the parties in pursuance of the decree of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of 29 January 2024 "On the main directions of implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State for 2024-2026". In particular, the parties discussed the prospects of creating a single financial market, including the development of national payment systems, the formation of common approaches to ensuring information security in the financial sector, regulation of credit institutions. 

During the meeting, the Head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation noted a qualitatively new level of interaction with the National Bank of Belarus. Elmira Nabiullina stressed the priorities of cooperation - enhancing the efficiency of work and focusing on results. 

In turn, State Secretary of the SG Dmitry Mezentsev emphasised the importance of integration work of the two regulators. He thanked the Bank of Russia for the issue of commemorative coinage "25 years since the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State".
