Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark), together with Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant, has completed the delivery of 55 Gorozhanin trolleybuses based on the MAZ-203 body to Russia’s Yekaterinburg, the MAZ press service told BelTA.

The new vehicles were presented to the public by Sverdlovsk Oblast Governor Denis Pasler and the city’s mayor, Aleksei Orlov. The transport will soon be put into service in the city.

“These vehicles have excellent capacity and an autonomous range that allows them to travel up to 40 kilometers without an overhead contact network. At least, that is what the technical specifications claim. This is a very convenient form of public transport, with a completely different level of quality and design. All of this is necessary to get hundreds of thousands of passengers to switch from private cars to public transport,” concluded Aleksei Orlov.
