Minsk National Airport and Kaliningrad Amber Company have signed a cooperation agreement. The ceremony took place as part of the official visit of a delegation from Russia’s Kaliningrad Oblast to the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

The documents were signed by the heads of the enterprises, Vladimir Chereukhin and Mikhail Zatsepin.

Kaliningrad Amber Combine, part of the State Corporation Rostec, plans to open a branded store of amber products in the pre-flight area of Minsk National Airport next year. The product range will be tailored to the passenger traffic of international destinations.

According to the Minsk National Airport press service, the airport is always open to new cooperation and partnerships.

“In 2024, our airport served over 2.8 million passengers, with passenger traffic up by 13%. The route network is also expanding. Amber products need little advertising, as they are always vibrant and exclusive. Therefore, I am confident that amber jewelry will 'fly off' to many cities and countries,” noted Vladimir Chereukhin, General Director of Minsk National Airport.
Mikhail Zatsepin, General Director of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine, emphasized that a retail outlet in the international airport of Minsk will provide an opportunity to introduce guests to Belarus from many countries, including those from Eastern and Middle Eastern destinations, to unique products made from the Baltic gemstone,” Mikhail Zatsepin said.
