Belarusian Belenergo, Russian Inter RAO Export sign cooperation agreement

Belarusian and Russian organizations have signed documents on cooperation in the sphere of power engineering, representatives of the Belarusian national energy company Belenergo told BelTA after a meeting with Russian manufacturers of power engineering equipment and representatives of financial organizations.

Belenergo and OOO Inter RAO Export signed an agreement on cooperation. Apart from that, Belenergo, Belenergoremnaladka, and Ural Turbine Works signed a memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of power engineering.

Matters concerning the realization of projects for modernizing Belarusian power plants and the available options for financing the projects were discussed during the meeting. The Belarusian side was represented by representatives of the organizations that belong to the state industrial group Belenergo, specialists and top managers of Belenergo led by Director General Pavel Drozd. The Russian delegation included representatives of OOO Inter RAO Export, AO Ural Turbine Works, PAO Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk (ZiO), the state development corporation VEB.RF, and AO Russian Export Center.

The Russian delegation also visited the international specialized expo Energy Expo, which is taking place in the indoor football arena in Minsk these days.

The Belarusian energy and ecology forum Energy Expo is one of the largest specialized exhibition events. It is organized every year with a view to developing the innovation potential of the fuel and energy complex. The forum brings together industry-specific organizations and leading producers of equipment and technologies for power engineering industry and allied trades. This year they traditionally present innovative projects and cutting-edge solutions for electric energy industry, gas industry, energy- and resource-saving technologies, digital development, and ecology.
