According to the CEO, Belavia is in negotiations with the Russian Federation. “We are in very intensive talks. We are preparing agreements with Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) on buying MC-21 aircraft and Sukhoi Superjet new aircraft. We are waiting for the Russian Federation to make these aircraft. Some of them are already being trialed with various engines. The aircraft are not ready yet but in 2024-2026 they are supposed to become airworthy and begin commercial operation,” Igor Cherginets noted.
