Belarus-Russia trade at $25.1bn in H1 2024

Trade between Belarus and Russia amounted to $25.1 billion in H1 2024, Deputy Chairman of Belarus’ National Statistics Committee Timofei Zhigarev said at a press conference, BelTA learned.

Timofei Zhigarev noted that foreign trade in goods with Russia was on a growth track in H1 2024. “Trade surged by 6.4% year-on-year and totaled $25.1 billion. Exports inched up by 0.4% reaching $12.6 billion," he said.

Belarus’ main export to Russia (97%) was manufactured products.

"We have increased exports of food products by 8.4%. Exports of computing, electronic and optical devices went up by 13.1%, vehicles and equipment – by 5.3%," Timofei Zhigarev said.
