Belarus-Russia's Ryazan Oblast trade passes 2022 mark in January-September 2023

“The Ryazan Oblast delegation led by the deputy governor is on a visit to Belarus. On the first day of the visit the Russian colleagues visited the Hi-Tech Park and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. After the working group meeting, we plan to invite the delegation to see the simulation center of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Healthcare Personnel of the Belarusian State Medical University. I would like to note that aerospace and biomedical technologies are of particular interest to both parties,” Aleksandr Yakovchits said.

According to him, the parties are also set to discuss the issues that hinder the further development of cooperation.

“In January-September 2023 we have already passed the 2022 year mark in mutual trade. In January-September 2023 the trade between Belarus and Ryazan Oblast amounted to $178 million ($160 million in 2022),” the deputy chairman of Belgospischeprom concern said.

In his words, Belarus' exports have increased 1.5 times. “Belarus supplies rolled metal products, plastic products, petroleum products to Ryazan Oblast. Belarus imports ferrous metal scrap, malting barley, petrochemical products and leather for light industry enterprises,” Aleksandr Yakovchits said.

Delegations from both parties regularly visit each other, including visits to major exhibitions. “Today we will discuss when and where we are going to hold the next meeting of the working group. Our country has already received an invitation from our colleagues to visit next year's medical and economic forums in Ryazan. We have no obstacles for further growth and development of cooperation with Ryazan Oblast,” the deputy chairman of Belgospischeprom concern said.
