Pskov Oblast celebrates its 80th anniversary. “I congratulate you and all residents of the region on this remarkable anniversary. The region is approaching this date with great achievements, including good economic performance. We can see that Pskov Oblast's economy and social sector are on the up. Certainly, this is the result of the team work led by the governor. Pskov Oblast is a special region for Belarus: you are our nearest neighbor. We are not just friends and partners, but also good neighbors. That is why the term “neighborliness” describes our relations very well. Besides geographical location, we are connected by many other things: historical, cultural, family ties. All this should give impetus to the development of trade and economic relations," the prime minister said.
There are certain positive dynamics in trade this year. “But it has not yet offset the setback of 2023. Measures to overcome the setback have been identified. It is clear that there are fluctuations. But I don't see any reason for us not to have rather sustainable growth in mutual trade. We have all conditions for growth. The action plan for 2024-2026 should be taken into work and implemented by all relevant bodies and organizations,” Roman Golovchenko stressed.
The Belarusian prime minister is currently on a working visit to Pskov Oblast. After that, he will go to the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation.
