Belarus, Russia discuss cooperation in gas sector

Representatives of Belarus and Russia have discussed topical issues related to cooperation in the gas sector, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.

A working meeting between Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich and Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2023 on 1 November.

The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the gas sector. One of the topics was interaction within the framework of the common gas market of the Union State. The parties praised the high technological potential of the Belarusian gas industry organizations, presented at the forum's exhibition.

The St. Petersburg International Gas Forum is one of the most significant business events in the gas industry, which annually gathers leading representatives of the global gas community. This year's event has gathered some 17,000 participants and guests from 52 countries. The business program of the forum includes more than 80 events.
