Belarus’ retail sales up 13.1% in Q1 2024

In January-March 2024 retail turnover totaled Br19.7 billion, up 13.1% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

In January-March 2024 retail turnover totaled Br19.7 billion, up 13.1% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

One-day retail sales per capita came at Br23.5 vs Br20.1 in the same period a year prior.

Retail outlets accounted for 94.9% of retail sales. In January-March 2024 they reported Br18.7 billion in retail sales, up 14.1% over January-March 2023 in comparable prices.

In Q1 2024 wholesale sales amounted to Br42.3 billion, up 5.8% year-on-year in comparable prices.

In January-March 2024 trade by public catering outlets totaled Br1.3 billion, up  11.4% year-on-year in comparable prices.
