Belarus’ PM tours Russia’s Pskov import-substituting plant

Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and Pskov Oblast Governor Mikhail Vedernikov toured Titan-Polymer Plant, a large industrial complex for the manufacturing of import-substituting products, including BOPET films, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian prime minister is currently on a working visit to Pskov Oblast. He held a working meeting with Mikhail Vedernikov and took part in a business meeting with the Russian business circles.

Moreover, Roman Golovchenko got acquainted with the import-substituting production of Titan-Polymer Plant. During the visit, Mogilevkhimvolokno and Titan-Polymer Plant signed a contract for the supply of products worth RUB1.5 billion. The total amount of contracts signed following the visit exceeded RUB1.7 billion.

Titan-Polymer Plant is a member of the Titan group of companies, one of Russia's largest industrial holdings. It manufactures petrochemical and agricultural products for strategically important sectors of the country's economy. The holding unites more than 15 petrochemical, infrastructure and agro-industrial enterprises. The products are used for manufacturing various types of industrial packaging, in radio- and microelectronics, pharmaceutics. They are also imported to Belarus.
