Belarus' gold, forex reserves at all-time high of $13.284bn

According to preliminary data, Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves were estimated at $13.2839 billion in equivalent on 1 October, BelTA reports citing the information published on the website of the National Bank.

In September 2025, gold and foreign exchange reserves went up by $871.7 million (7%) after an increase of more than $470 million in August.

Belarus' international reserves are made up mostly of foreign currency assets and monetary gold. According to the National Bank, the amount of foreign currency in the reserves stood at $5.2449 billion as of 1 October, up $176.1 million (3.5%) month-on-month. The amount of monetary gold was estimated at $6.6292 billion, up $690.4 million (11.6%).

According to the monetary policy targets, the amount of Belarus' international reserves by the end of 2025 should be at least $7.1 billion.
