Belarus' gold and forex reserves at $9.3bn as of 1 February

According to preliminary data, Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves amounted to $9.333 billion in equivalent as of 1 February 2025, BelTA reports citing the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

Over January 2025, gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $410.6 million (or 4.6%) after a previous increase of $127.7 million (or 1.45%) in December 2024.

Foreign currency assets and monetary gold make up the largest share in the structure of international reserve assets of Belarus. According to the National Bank, the amount of foreign currency in the reserves as of 1 February amounted to $3.113 billion, up by $60.7 million (or 2%) over January; monetary gold was estimated at $4.868 billion, up by $345.2 million (or 7.6%).

According to the 2025 monetary targets, Belarus’ international reserve assets are to be at least $7.1 billion at the end of 2025.
