Belarus' gold and forex reserves at $10.07bn as of 1 April

According to preliminary data, Belarus' gold and foreign exchange reserves amounted to $10.07 billion in equivalent as of 1 April 2025, BelTA reports citing the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.

Over March 2025, gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $662.3 million (or 7.04%) after a previous increase of $74 million (or 0.8%) in February 2025.

Foreign currency assets and monetary gold make up the largest share in the structure of international reserve assets of Belarus. According to the National Bank, the amount of foreign currency in the reserves as of 1 April amounted to $3.307,2 billion, up by $158.7 million (or 5.04%) over March; monetary gold was estimated at $5.393 billion, up by $487.3 million (or 9.9%).

According to the 2025 monetary targets, Belarus’ international reserve assets are to be at least $7.1 billion at the end of 2025.
