Belarus and China will sign agreement on investments and zones of free trade in services, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during a meeting with Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang in Minsk on 22 August, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that during Li Qiang's visit to Belarus, the parties will sign the documents that will consolidate the plans for a promising partnership in key areas.

"One of them can definitely be called historic. This is an agreement on the free trade zone in services and investment. Belarus is the first country in the Eurasian Economic Union with which China concludes such an agreement," the president said.

Belarus hopes that in the next five years, thanks to the transparent and predictable rules, Belarus’ export of services to China will grow by at least 12-15% and investments in Belarus - by at least 30%.
