Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Yuri Seliverstov outlined the key tasks of Belarusian multi-brand machinery centers operating in Russia on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

Belarusian multi-brand centers are already functioning in many Russian regions. “The government recently reviewed the strategy for establishing multi-brand centers. There are several tasks that such centers help address. The first is improving the level of service. Machinery is becoming increasingly advanced, with a growing amount of additional technological and computer equipment. Of course, this helps the people who operate the machinery, but all of it needs proper maintenance,” the ambassador emphasized.

The second task, he said, is related to the difficulty of assembling sufficient resources for each manufacturer to open its own chain of service centers. “Here we have MAZ, MTZ, Bobruiskagromash, Amkodor, Gomselmash. It is clear that this is quite expensive. And ultimately, all of this would be reflected in the price of our products. Creating service centers where a loader, a tractor, Bobruiskagromash equipment, and a combine harvester can all be serviced is simply essential,” Ambassador Yuri Seliverstov stressed.

“Alongside maintenance, there are also financial services. We need to work on this as well. In Belarus, we are doing quite well through mechanisms supporting domestically produced goods. But here in Russia, we have often relied more on Russian financial instruments and partners, and in some ways depended on them. We need to work more actively so that we can promote our products ourselves. It is clear that we cannot replace the volume of financial resources available on the Russian market with Belarusian resources. That is obvious. But when a particular region faces a shortage of funds or a subsidy program has not yet started and is still being prepared, we must offer our own financial instruments. And within a multibrand center, this is easier to do,” the diplomat concluded.
