“Belarus has always had the warmest relations with this Russian region. They have never been disturbed by any external factors. Our mutual trade is complementary. Last year we posted an increase of 1.5 times, which shows good projects that we implemented last year as well as prospects for 2023,” Aleksandr Ogorodnikov said.
Belarus supplies passenger transport, municipal vehicles, and agricultural machinery to Sverdlovsk Oblast. The Russian region also provides stable supplies to Belarus. “This is everything that concerns the products of metallurgical plants located in the Russian region, and everything that is supplied within bilateral cooperation to our enterprises,” the first deputy minister said.
The meeting is attended by those who already have partnership relations. These are BelAZ, MAZ and others. “They will talk about their new products and what they are ready to offer to their traditional partners. The meeting is also attended by representatives of new companies that can potentially find points of contact to develop business,” he explained.
The parties also actively cooperate in mechanical engineering. “We traditionally cooperate on the supply of fully assembled machinery. Today's machinery is not mass production. Assembly lines produce machines for a specific customer with specific functions. As far as machine tool construction is concerned, we would like more in-depth cooperation. Recent years have shown that we are able to withstand competition in terms of price and quality,” he concluded.
