Gusakov: Belarus eyes its module on Russian space station

Belarus is ready to participate in the construction of its module on a new Russian space station, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Gusakov said in an interview with TASS, BelTA has learned.

“We know that [Russian State Corporation for Space Activities] Roscosmos has started building a new Russian space station. Certainly, we are interested in taking part both in its construction and in further research,” Vladimir Gusakov said. He stressed that so far Belarus has not made any decisions on this matter.

Earlier, General Director of Roscosmos Yury Borisov proposed to build a Belarusian module on the new Russian space station. Russian cosmonauts also supported the idea of building a Belarusian module.
