Belarusian industry minister visits Yekaterinburg

A Belarusian delegation led by Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik is on a working visit in Yekaterinburg for the the 12th international industrial exhibition Innoprom, BelTA learned from the ministry.

On the opening day of the exhibition, Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik and his deputy Dmitry Kharitonchik took part in a meeting of the EAEU Council on Industrial Policy. The parties signed an agreement to set up a new Eurasian technological platform in civil aircraft construction. The document will stimulate the development of high-tech and innovative industries, increase the innovative share in industrial products made in the EAEU countries and assimilate advanced R&D in the aircraft industry.
The Belarusian officials attended the panel session "Industrial transition: Experience of Leaders". One of the speakers was BelAZ Director General Sergei Nikiforovich.
Together with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko, the senior officials of the Industry Ministry held a working meeting with KAMAZ Director General Sergei Kogogin. The parties discussed the state of affairs in industrial cooperation and the unification of components used at MAZ and KAMAZ and confirmed the plans to sign an appropriate detailed roadmap soon.
