PHOTOfact: Wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument in Minsk

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko traditionally took part in the Victory Day commemorative events on May 9.

The head of state laid a wreath at the Victory Monument in Minsk. Alexander Lukashenko was joined at the ceremony by his three sons.

Wreaths and flowers were also laid at the memorial by heads of republican government bodies, representatives of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the judicial corps, veteran organizations, law enforcement agencies, public associations and political parties, as well as public activists.

Alexander Lukashenko and all participants of the ceremony at Victory Square observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen heroes.
