The Union State, with its historically unprecedented level of partnership in various fields, from defense and the economy to transportation and education, is now a model of integration. This Belarusian-Russian example, as well as its unique achievements, can and should be scaled up within the Commonwealth.
During the Assembly, CIS parliamentarians focused on the social agenda. Demographic security and healthcare were the main topics of discussion. This year in the Commonwealth is dedicated to healthcare. This is a huge area for harmonizing national legislation and sharing experience.
The main topic today is the Year of Health Care in the CIS. In our country, the healthcare system is focused on the individual. The health of the nation is the foundation of demographic security, economic stability, and sustainable development. Belarus' position is similar to that of other countries in the Commonwealth.
