"This year we will traditionally hold a business matchmaking event for small and medium-sized enterprises seeking cooperation with large industrial manufacturers. Today we have about 50 representatives of enterprises from the regions of the Russian Federation and other countries. We also want to discuss the things that hinder industrial cooperation between small and medium-sized businesses and industrial enterprises. This will help us to advance this cooperation. I would like to note that the contacts that are established at such platforms as ours pave way for contracts between manufacturers. They have a significant impact on the production process and help us produce cheaper yet high-quality goods," Director General of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs Piotr Arushanyants said as he addressed the forum.
According to him, enterprises come prepared and seek to sign contracts, obtain lucrative orders.
"Today, the business matchmaking event will feature at least 200 meetings which we hope result in further cooperation. The work to promote industrial cooperation is quite multifaceted. It is important that the opportunities that enterprises have are fully realized. In addition, thanks to new contacts, large enterprises have the opportunity to meet their needs quickly and efficiently in the local market. Thus, the products become cheaper and more affordable for consumers. Our task is to identify and fully realize the potential of industrial cooperation," Piotr Arushanyants said.
He noted that a wide range of enterprises from different industries are represented at the forum. Mechanical engineering and light industry predominate. "We have brought together representatives of those enterprises that manufacture goods, including intermediate products, which are built into production chains. Thanks to this, we make more sophisticated and technologically advanced products ," Piotr Arushanyants added.
The Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum in Minsk will stay open until 28 September. It also runs the exhibition program: the TechInnoProm exhibition of technologies and innovations in the manufacturing industry, the Profsvarka exhibition of equipment and technologies for welding and cutting, the Chemistry, Oil and Gas exhibition of chemical, oil and gas industries and science and the Polymers and Composites exhibition.
These days Minsk is also hosting the Smart Industry forum on the digital transformation of the economy and the 19th edition of Belarus welders competition and an exhibition of Iran's export opportunities.
This year, the forum has drawn more than 100 organizations from Belarus and Russia's Mordovia, Bryansk, Smolensk and Novosibirsk regions. They will showcase the equipment and technologies for the manufacturing sector, innovations and R&D, industrial products and services.
