Lukashenko hears report from Gomel Oblast governor

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko heard a detailed report from Gomel Oblast Governor Ivan Krupko on 7 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The main topic of the report was the situation in the oblast due to heavy snowfall and an approaching cyclone, specifically, the work to ensure the stable operation of infrastructure and the clearing of streets and major transport routes. Aleksandr Lukashenko inquired whether Gomel Oblast required any assistance in this regard.

The president was also briefed on the implementation of instructions following last year’s meeting in Vitebsk, which discussed the operations of agricultural organizations. This includes mobilizing workers from industrial enterprises to support agricultural organizations.
