2026 has been declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has declared 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman, according to Decree No. 1 signed by the head of state, the press service reports.

The document was adopted in order to form a national image of a working woman, popularize the role of women in the preservation and development of society.

The government, with the participation of the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, was instructed to develop and approve a republican action plan for the Year of the Belarusian Woman in 2026. The Government will also coordinate the activities of government agencies and other organizations to implement this plan.

The decree comes into force after its official publication.
