Russia's Yakutia seeks closer ties with Belarusian automaker MAZ

A joint meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Rusisa’s Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was held in Yakutsk under the chairmanship of Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar on 6 August, BelTA has learned from Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) press service.

The meeting was attended by Andrei Chumak,Deputy Head of Passenger Vehicles Sales, Head of Sales in the Russian Federation at MAZ, and representatives of the company's dealer network - OOO Belrus.

During the negotiations the Russian side showed interest in MAZ municipal transport, in particular, in garbage trucks. The parties also discussed the supply of spare parts for MAZ vehicles already operating in the region, the press service noted.
