Belgospishcheprom head praises Adygea’s contribution to Belarus-Russia cooperation

Belarus and the Republic of Adygea (Russian Federation) have strong potential for cooperation, Chairman of the Belarusian food industry concern Belgospishcheprom and co-head of the Belarus-Adygea joint working group Oleg Zhidkov said during a meeting held in Maykop, Adygea on 10 June, BelTA learned from Belgospishcheprom.

The meeting reviewed work progress in January-April 2025 and discussed current issues in implementing an agreement to cooperate in trade, economy, science, technology, and culture in 2024-2026 between the Cabinet of Ministers of Adygea and the Government of Belarus. The parties also touched upon cooperation in manufacturing industry, agriculture, education, and tourism.

According to Oleg Zhidkov, the Belarus-Adygea cooperation has great potential. "We highly appreciate Adygea’s contribution to Belarus-Russia cooperation. We feel your attention and support in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, and this brings results. A large number of mutual deliveries are being fulfilled, and contracts are being executed," he stated.

Over the past three years, Belarus-Adygea trade has increased by 2.3 times. Belarus supplies food products to Adygea, including dairy and confectionery items, metal products, agricultural equipment, trucks, bicycles, and motorcycles.
