Lukashenko appoints new officials

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed new heads in some regions of the country, and also in the Grodno and Minsk city executive committees, BelTA has learned.

Andrei Khmel, who worked as the housing and utilities minister, has been agreed by the head of state to the position of Grodno Mayor. Vadim Perednya will head the administration of the Pervomaiski District of Minsk (previously he worked as deputy head of the Tsentralny District).

New chairpersons have been appointed in three districts of Belarus: Igor Moroz - in Orsha District, Anatoly Lodyga - in Soligorsk District, and Yuri Karlovich - in Kletsk District.
