The logo for the Year of the Belarusian Woman has been chosen in Belarus, the Chairwoman of the Belarusian Women’s Union Olga Shpilevskaya told BelTA. The logo in high resolution can be downloaded HERE.

The Belarusian Women’s Union initiated a competition to create the logo shortly after the head of state announced the theme for 2026.

“We wanted to see how girls and women envision this logo, how they imagine it. Anyone could, based on intuition and feeling, draw their own version. We did not set any specific parameters. We believed that Belarusian women themselves should propose a symbol for the current year,” said Olga Shpilevskaya.

The competition was held among all regional, united, and primary organizations of the Belarusian Women’s Union. Participants submitted over 100 different options. A unified style was evident in many of the works: many proposed reflecting the image, the face of a woman in the logo. However, the interpretations were completely different.

The winner of the competition was Yevgeniya Pogranichnaya, the leader of the youth wing of the Volkovysk district organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union. She is a photographer who has previously presented several of her own photo exhibitions. She enjoys photographing family and women.

According to Olga Shpilevskaya, the decision in favor of Yevgeniya Pogranichnaya’s work was unanimous. “Everyone agreed that this design has it all: national symbolism - the red and green tones, the traditional ornament, as well as the cornflower, a symbol of Belarus and the Belarusian Women’s Union, and, of course, the image of a Belarusian woman, conveying a sense of both lightness and strength, kindness and beauty,” the chairwoman of the Belarusian Women’s Union explained.
