The World Cup in ship modeling "Minsk Spring – 2026" will bring together 146 athletes and 276 models

The World Cup in ship modeling "Minsk Spring – 2026" will be held in the capital from April 23 to April 26. Dmitry Kalmykov, the head coach of the national technical and aviation sports teams, told about this at a press conference Soyuz.by.

The grand opening will take place on April 23 at 14.00. The halls will be available to the audience from 10.00 to 18.00, as well as until 19.00 on some days. To date, 146 athletes have submitted applications, who will present 276 models, and applications are still being accepted.
The competitions will be held in the categories of bench models "C" and RC yachts of classes RG65, F5-E, F5-M. The stand-up models will be presented at the Center for Technical Creativity of Children and Youth, and the launches of radio-controlled yachts will take place in the waters of Komsomolsk Lake.

Dmitry Kalmykov noted that these competitions will allow Minsk residents and guests of the capital to see the unique works of world-class modelers assembled on one site.
He also stressed that Belarus annually hosts more than 10 national and international competitions in various areas of ship modeling sports. Last year, Belarusian athletes actively participated in all competitions, including abroad, and won 162 medals: 63 gold, 50 silver and 49 bronze.
