RNPC specializes in three main areas: cardiac surgery (treatment of heart defects and diseases), pediatric surgery (correction of malformations of the thoracic and abdominal cavity, treatment of acute surgical and purulent diseases in newborns) and pediatric endoscopy (esophagoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy).
"Last year, 46,400 patients applied to our center, of which 7,600 were treated in hospital, mainly in the form of operations," Konstantin Drozdovsky noted.
In 2024, surgeons at the RNPC performed 5,850 operations, which is about 50 operations per day. A significant part (25%) consisted of high-tech operations requiring the use of modern equipment and highly qualified surgeons.
"One of the most significant achievements of the center is the constant reduction of mortality among patients," said the director of the RNPC.
