The Gomel-Bryansk Business Forum gathered more than 100 participants

The third regional Gomel-Bryansk business forum is taking place today in the Belarusian regional center, reports BelTA.

Within the business forum the regional leaders - Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Valentin Subbot, Chairman of the Bryansk Regional Duma, representatives of the authorities, business representatives, chambers of commerce and industry - are discussing cooperation and expanding its horizons.

In addition, the economic and investment potential of the Gomel region will be presented. More than 50 enterprises and companies from the southeastern region of Belarus, covering a wide range of industries - from food industry to machine building - demonstrated their goods and opportunities at the exhibition.

Belarusian Metallurgical Plant reported that over $2 million worth of products were supplied to Bryansk region in the first half of 2024, and there are significant prospects for further expansion of cooperation.

Igor Kravchenko, General Director of the Communal Design, Repair and Construction Unitary Enterprise “Gomelobldorstroy” reminded: Partizan Square in Bryansk was reconstructed with the use of granite produced by the Gomel enterprise.

“Partizan Square is a landmark place both for the Bryansk region and in general for our common history,” the director emphasized. He also added that Gomelobldorstroy is ready to get involved in other projects and facilities in the Russian region.

NOTE: This is the third forum of the two regions: the first one was held in 2022 in the Belarusian city above Sozh, the second one - in 2023 in Bryansk. The parties are discussing mutually beneficial areas of cooperation, including efforts to coordinate export and import flows of companies from the two regions and find business solutions in the new reality.
